Fred Garcia

Fredrick V. Garcia

Mr. Garcia is a retired USAF officer, having served 14 years as an enlisted member and 10 years as a commissioned officer.  Mr. Garcia served in the Republic of Vietnam at Tan Son Nhut AB. Nha Trang, and various locations in the Mekong Delta. During his Air Force career, Mr. Garcia’s background includes airborne electronics maintenance, extensive Space Operations as well as testing and exercising the end-to-end communications and operations of the Space Network System.  He participated in the Apollo/Soyuz Missions in 1975 as the Surveillance Officer from within the Cheyenne Mountain Complex.  He also supported launch for the Skylab Program.  Finally, he participated in the initial 1981 Space Shuttle flight as a liaison officer to predict and track the footprint of the First Shuttle Vehicle.   Upon retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Garcia continued to work in the Aerospace Industry as a Systems Engineer working with the Space Shuttle program, and for the Army’s All Source Analysis System (ASAS) as the Test Manager for Security Accreditation.  Mr. Garcia also worked on the Granite Sentry program, initially as a Systems Engineer, and finally as an assistant Program Manager.  In 1986, He founded Systems Research Group and has led SRG throughout its growth to the present.

 


Susan Cunningham

Susan Cunningham holds a bachelors degree in Sociology from Creighton University and 3 years of study in Computer Information Systems from Chapman College . From 1968 to 1974, Susan worked for United Airlines. While at UAL, she worked all positions from ticket agent to Area manager for ticket operations. In 1975, she moved from Iowa to Colorado Springs and has held department management positions with May D&F Department stores from June 1975 until 1984 as well as the Federal Savings and Loan Association from 1984 until 1987. She then joined the Consumer Credit Counsel in the accounting function and soon transferred to Client counseling. In 1990, Susan came to Systems Research Group, initially to support bookkeeping and became interested in being an investor. Her support of the company in the early days was instrumental in keeping the company viable at that time.

She has worked in different positions as the needs of the company changed over time including Bookkeeping, General Administration, and Human Resources.

The position in Human Resources covers a vast area of policies and procedures, employee record-keeping and other employee benefits as needed. Today, Susan is the only Vice President in SRG. In that position, she supports the HR and Admin function as well as adviser to the President on Financial and Policy matters.

 


Mike McDonell

Michael McDonell came to SRG with an extensive background both in management and financial accounting. His professional accounting and manufacturing experience was gained in various GE business components which provided equipment and services to the DoD, NASA, and other government agencies.  This experience makes him a valuable asset to SRG.  Mike earned his MBA from Northeastern University in 1988, and his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Seattle University in 1975.  He has been a licensed CPA in Colorado since 1991. Mike served as a  publicly elected Board Member of the Columbine Knolls Recreation District for eight years and President of the same District for six years.  In addition Mike has been active in the Colorado Soaring community as a past board member and recently as president of the Colorado Soaring Association.
