TrophyFredrick V. Garcia, President

Mr. Garcia is a retired USAF officer (Captain). During his Air Force career, Mr. Garcia's background included airborne electronics maintenance, extensive Space Operations as well as testing and exercising end-to-end communications and operations of the Space Network System. He participated in the Apollo/Soyuz Missions in 1975 as the Surveillance Officer from within the Cheyenne Mountain Complex for two of the three manned launches as well as the link-up of the two space vehicles. He participated in the initial 1981 Space Shuttle flight as a liaison officer to predict and track the footprint of the First Shuttle Vehicle. Upon retiring, Mr. Garcia continued to work in the Aerospace Industry as a Systems Engineer working with the Space Shuttle program, and for the Army's All Source Analysis System (ASAS) as the Test Manager for Security Accreditation. Mr. Garcia also worked on the Granite Sentry program, initially as a Systems Engineer, and finally as an assistant Program Manager.

Susan Cunningham, Senior Vice President

Susan Cunningham holds a bachelors degree in Sociology from Creighton University and 3 years of study in Computer Information Systems from Chapman College . From 1968 to 1974, Susan worked for United Airlines. While at UAL, she worked all positions from ticket agent to Area manager for ticket operations. In 1975, she moved from Iowa to Colorado Springs and has held department management positions with May D&F Department stores from Jun 1975 until 1984 as well as the Federal Savings and Loan Association from 1984 until 1987. She then joined the Consumer Credit Counsel in the accounting function and soon transferred to Client counseling. In 1990, Susan came to Systems Research Group, initially to support bookkeeping and became interested in being an investor. Her support of the company in the early days was instrumental in keeping the company viable at that time.

She has worked in different positions as the needs of the company changed over time including Bookkeeping, General Administration, and Human Resources.

The position in Human Resources covers a vast area of policies and procedures, employee record-keeping and other employee benefits as needed.   Today, Susan is the only Vice President in SRG. In that position, she supports the HR and Admin function as well as advisor to the President on Financial and Policy matters.

Harry Lucero, Operations

Harry Lucero is the Director of Contract Operations (DCO) for SRG. His DCO assignments include support for contracts in six (6) states for various government agencies and commercial clients, including Honeywell, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Western Area Power Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, and USGS.

Harry has been providing and training technical contract personnel for over 30 years, having personally hired over 2,000 people. He was educated locally at Metro State in Denver and is currently the Chairman for the Mayors Office of Workforce Development Board in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Lucero is also an owner/partner of Source One Staffing in the Denver Metro Area.

Mike McDonell, Controller

Mike came to SRG with an excellent background both in management and financial expertise. His extensive accounting and manufacturing experience in various GE components providing equipment and services to DoD, NASA, and other government customers makes him a valuable asset to SRG.

Mike earned his MBA from Northeastern University in 1988 and is a licensed CPA in Colorado. Along with his service to SRG, he is also the Acting CFO of The Leaders Group, Inc. and serves 40 to 60 clients per year in his individual CPA practice.

Dan Fairchild, Program Manager - NOAA/ESRL/GSD

Daniel Fairchild has more than twenty years experience in business management. He earned a BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1984 and an MBA from Regis University, Denver in 1999. Since 2000 he has been the Program Manager for the SRG service contract at the NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory, Global Systems Division, directing all operations and managing over 40 staff. Under his direction, SRG at GSD has experienced improved recruiting turnaround time, better employee screening procedures, customer service, pro-active management improvements, and enhanced staff empowerment to seek and put into place innovative products and processes.

Prior to SRG, Dan spent 1994-1999 as the Executive Director of Community Options, Inc., an organization providing comprehensive services to persons with disabilities nationwide. His guidance moved the company from inception to become the largest supported employment provider in Denver with award-winning service quality. The branch increased from 5 clients and 2 staff in 1994 to over 100 clients and 20 staff in 2000. He received outstanding service awards from Community Options and from professional service organizations in 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1999.
